«I began the amazing journey of healing through Osteopathy with Aurélie in March 2024, approximately 7 months ago.
This was triggered by injuries sustained in a serious horse riding accident in October 2023. While show jumping my horse tripped and fell on top of me crushing my right leg, pelvis and hip. I suffered a moral lavelle liaison in my whole right thigh from my groin to my knee (also known as degloving). This is where connective tissue is torn from the muscle and in my case the space between filled with body fluid resulting in a massive haemotoma covering most of my right thigh.
After a lengthy period of no work, leg rest, compression bandage on upper leg, regularly appointments at trauma clinic in local hospital and many visits to physiotherapy there was only some improvement but there still remained a lot of injured tissue and an identified misalignment of my spine and pelvis due to the accident.
My physiotherapist advised me to attend an osteopath to check out the misalignment issue and so I made an appointment with Aurélie. This is when my real healing began.
From the onset, Aurélie was able to identify the twist in my spine and pelvis and the immense tension being held in the whole right side of my body due to the pressure and weight which crushed me during the accident and the psychological stress being held in my body from the trauma of the impact and the shock of the accident.
I quickly began to understand the deep effect this accident had on me, the visual and superficial injuries were just one consequence. I also held psychological trauma which impeded my body's ability to release the effects of the accident and allow physical healing to happen freely.
Aurélie worked with my body and my energy fields, enabling my psyche to release tensions held and allow physical and emotional healing to occur.
This has truly been a most amazing and transformative journey to complete holistic healing.
Osteopathy heals from the inside out. It is not a quick fix or 'band aid' approach but it goes to the root of the problem and heels deep within the frame of the body on an emotional and energetic level. This then allows the work done on bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, connective tissue, nervous system etc to take effect and physical healing to occur.
Based on my experience I would strongly recommend osteopathy as a form of healing & restoration for all bodily ailments.

«Louie is a young horse, just starting his seventh year now. I have known him since his birth. We both moved to a new home three years ago when he was starting his fourth year. As a five years old, I experienced a lot of difficulties with Louie. He went through a phase of bucking during a round of jumping, often after landing from a jump. Also he was unpredictable and would stop suddenly at jumps, often sending me flying. He exploded a few times and catapulted me into the air. I sustained many injuries during this time and I became increasingly afraid and distrustful of his unpredictability.
At the start of his sixth year, the difficulties were still apparent and I was really beginning to wonder if we had a future together.
I was attending Aurélie for an Osteopathy treatment for myself one day, just after a training session where Louie had stopped suddenly at jumps three times and I had fallen off twice. I explained what had happened to Aurélie who immediately became interested in what was going on for Louie to cause this behaviour.
Aurélie came to visit Louie soon after that and began working with him. She continued to work with him over the next few months. I was present for most of these treatments and witnessed the amazing connection Aurélie has with animals.
Louie and I bonded so much during this time. I began to understand him and appreciate him more. He felt this and responded with appreciation and affection towards me.
I believe he knew I was listening to him now and not always pushing him to do my will against his will like before.
He began to behave better when being ridden and seemed eager to please me.
Our connection grew deeper and deeper throughout his sixth year and there is a love and trust there now that we didn't have before.
I attribute all this to Aurélie's work with both Louie & I.
One year ago I thought I may have to sell Louie because our relationship had become so frayed. Now I have a horse I love and trust and can enjoy for as long as we are both around. »
